BEIJING, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- The 28th Chinese medical team departed for Guinea from Beijing on Tuesday to provide medical services to the African country, health authorities said.

The medical team consists of 21 members, including 19 from Xuanwu Hospital of the Capital Medical University and two professionals from the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Beijing Municipal Health Commission respectively.

The medical experts from Xuanwu Hospital specialize in areas including neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, and orthopedics, according to the hospital.

Tong Xiaogang, one of the team members, said he hoped to bring more medical technologies to locals so that they can enjoy better medical services.
