Chengdu bag third straight win in China's second-tier football league

BEIJING, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chengdu Better City edged Taizhou Yuanda 2-1 on Sunday to pocket their third straight win in China League One, the second-tier football league in China.

After a goalless first half, Chengdu's Lu Weiyang broke the deadlock with a powerful shot from outside the box in the 61st minute. Brazilian striker Leonardo extended the lead 10 minutes later.

Tosic scored for Taizhou in the injury time.

The other match in the Chengdu division saw a goalless draw between Suzhou Dongwu and Inner Mongolia Zhongyou.

In the Meizhou division, Guizhou continued their winning drought after a bitter defeat to Liaoning Shenyang Urban, while Meizhou Hakka stunned Jiangxi Liansheng 4-0.

The Changzhou division witnessed two goalless draws: Changchun Yatai 0-0 Nantong Zhiyun, Sichuan Youbixuan 0-0 Xinjiang Snow Leopard. Enditem
