SHANGHAI, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures closed lower Wednesday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
The most active gold contract for December 2020 delivery was down 6.84 yuan (about 1.01 U.S. dollars) to close at 400.9 yuan a gram.
The total trading volume for eight listed gold futures contracts on the exchange was 376,466 lots, with a turnover of about 153 billion yuan.
