China Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (U.S. routes) remains stable

NINGBO, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- The China Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI) reported a stable trend in freight indices in the U.S. routes.
The NCFI, reflecting freight rate changes of 21 routes departing from the Ningbo-Zhoushan port, stood at 1,179.7 points Friday, up 1.4 percent compared with last week.
The sub-readings for the east and west coasts of the United States quoted 1,633.7 points and 2,306.1 points, up 0.6 percent and 0.9 percent from last week respectively.
According to the Ningbo Shipping Exchange, the shipping space on the U.S. routes is still tight and the market freight rate continues to remain high.
