BEIJING, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- The first Beijing International Garden Festival, which started in April and ended on Friday, received nearly 400,000 visits, according to the Beijing Expo Park.

The floral show took place at the venue of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 Beijing (Beijing Expo 2019), in the northern outskirts of Beijing.

The park's administration said more than 600 new varieties of flowers were exhibited to the public, allowing tourists to share the fruits of China's green development and ecological civilization.

A forum was also held on Friday in the park, attracting industry representatives from universities, enterprises, and related institutions to discuss the development of China's flower industry, the construction of flower borders and gardens, and the practice of flower landscapes.

The festival is to be held between April and October every year, aimed at conserving and utilizing the landscapes built for the Beijing Expo 2019 and attracting global high-quality industry resources to participate in the floral exhibition. Enditem
