CHENGDU, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Jiangsu smashed Fujian 92-69 for its sixth straight win in this season's Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA) league here on Saturday.
Shanxi edged Zhejiang 89-81, and Inner Mongolia thrashed Sichuan 90-66.
Jiangsu led the game with a margin of two points in the first quarter and gradually widened the advantage to 12 and 25 points respectively after the second and third quarters.
Zhang Manman pocketed 18 points for Jiangsu, who also got help from Gong Li's 12 and Jiang Jiayin's 11 points.
Hu Xinyu pocketed a game-high 23 points, three assists and 12 rebounds for Fujian, and her teammates Lai Tingyi and Wang Qiuyi bagged 13 and 12 points respectively, Fujian still lost the game.
In the game between Shanxi and Zhejiang, neither of the two teams could finish a single quarter in the first three quarters with a margin of more than five points. By the end of the third quarter, Zhejiang led the game by 61-58. However, Shanxi earned its biggest lead of nine points in the fourth quarter and won the game.
Wu Tongtong of Shanxi pocketed a game-high 32 points and Liu Jiacen added 18 points. Wan Jiyuan pocketed a team-high 28 points for Zhejiang and Dong Ke'er added 12 points.
Inner Mongolia smashed Sichuan 90-66 despite Sichuan outscored them nine points in the third quarter, achieving its fifth straight win in the season. Enditem
