BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) on Monday announced it has decided to arrest Zhang Zhinan, former vice-governor of east China's Fujian Province, for suspected bribe-taking and abuse of power.

The National Supervisory Commission (NSC) has completed the investigation into Zhang's case and handed it over to prosecuting agencies, the SPP said.

The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the NSC announced last month that Zhang had been expelled from the CPC and dismissed from public office over serious violations of Party discipline and laws. Enditem
