ZHUJI, China, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- The Zhejiang Golden Bulls bagged three straight wins after a 105-93 victory over the Shanxi Loongs in the third round of the 2020-21 Chinese Basketball Association league (CBA) here on Thursday.
Guard Wu Qian from Zhejiang nearly got a triple-double with a game-high 21 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds. Center Xing Zhiqiang scored a team-high 18 points for Shanxi.
After being tied 14-14 early in the first quarter, Zhejiang stormed to a 10-3 run to lead 30-24 going into the second quarter.
Zhejiang kept a high shooting percentage in the second quarter. Wu Qian scored nine points in the quarter, giving the Golden Bulls a 58-44 lead at the halftime break.
Wu Qian and Cheng Shuaipeng, another promising star from Zhejiang, combined to score 14 points in the third quarter to help Zhejiang lead 90-64 into the last quarter.
Shanxi bounced back with a 15-3 run to cut the deficit in the fourth quarter but failed turn the tide. Enditem
