Unbeaten Zhejiang into semifinals in Chinese Men's Volleyball Championship

ZHENGZHOU, China, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Zhejiang beat Sichuan 3-1 in the quarterfinals of the Chinese Men's Volleyball Championship here on Monday.
Beijing, Jiangsu, and Shandong also won their berths to the semifinals.
Controlling the pace from the beginning, Zhejiang took the first set 25-18. With some adjustments in rhythm, Sichuan doggedly rebounded in the second set, beating Zhejiang 25-22. In the pivotal third set, Zhejiang edged Sichuan 26-24 so as to grasp the initiative of the game and then took the fourth set at 25-19.
In other games on Monday, Beijing eased past Guangdong 3-0, Jiangsu beat Hebei 3-1, and Shandong 3-0 smashed Shanghai, the newly-crowned champion of China Volleyball League.
The semifinals will take place on Tuesday, with Beijing facing Jiangsu and Zhejiang playing Shandong. Enditem
