ZHUJI, China, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- Guo Ailun had 35 points and 10 assists as the Liaoning Flying Leopards sealed a eight-game winning streak by beating the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 121-108 in the 2020-21 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Wednesday.

Xinjiang led by 17 points in the first quarter but their star center Zhou Qi was injured midway through the second was the turning point of the game.

Xinjiang took their largest lead of the game at 38-19 in the second quarter before Guo led Liaoning to fight back and tied it on 59-59 at halftime. Liaoning led by 90-84 heading to the final period and extended the lead to double-digit that Xinjiang never recovered from.

Han Dejun contributed 30 points and 13 rebounds for Liaoning, while O.J. Mayo scored 25 points. Xinjiang's Zen Lingxu had 24 points.

Tianjin Pioneers suffered a eight-game losing streak by losing to the Beijing Royal Fighters 87-80. Tianjin is one of two winless outfits so far this season, with the Fujian Sturgeons being the other.

Manny Harris scored 44 points, 10 assists and 7 steals leading the Shandong Heroes crashed the Nanjing Monkey Kings 114-96. Gao Shiyan contributed 14 points and 14 assists while Jia Cheng added 16 points.

Five players scoring double digit numbers as the Jilin Northeast Tigers smashed the Qingdao Eagles 105-84.

In upcoming matches, defend champion Guangdong Southern Tiger against the Shanxi Loongs, while the Beijing Ducks take on the Sichuan Blue Whales. Enditem
