ZHUJI, China, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- The Shenzhen Aviators breezed past the Fujian Sturgeons 115-94 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Wednesday.

Shenzhen opened the scoring but Fujian quickly took the lead. Kamiran Sdkjan and Chen Linjian scored on back-to-back attempts beyond the arc and Wang Zhelin erupted to spearhead their team on a 10-1 run for a 31-20 lead by the end of the first quarter.

Shenzhen fought back and narrowed the gap to one in the second quarter.

The third quarter witnessed a seesaw battle between the two teams. Chen and Wang set a pick-and-roll to give their side a good start. Guard Yang Linyi contributed 11 points and 3 assists in 12 minutes for Shenzhen.

Trailing by 82-80 in a productive last quarter, Lu Yiwen and Askia Booker led their team to a 14-0 spurt and dominated the court to seal the victory.

Chen had a game-high 31 points and seven assists for Fujian. Booker collected 25 points and captain Gu Quan added 17 points for Shenzhen.

"We have a strong desire to win. Despite falling behind at the beginning, we combined well on defence and played a lot of quick transitions. It is what we should keep doing in the future games," Shenzhen's He Xining said.

"We really struggled with rebounds. It makes a big difference in the game," said Fujian head coach Nenad Vucinic. "We have to get over the psychological problem that we have. Hopefully after the break we will be in better shape." Enditem
