Swiss tech giant opens electrification innovation week in Xiamen

XIAMEN, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Swiss tech giant ABB opened an electrification innovation week in the eastern Chinese city of Xiamen, Fujian Province, on Monday.

ABB will launch two revolutionary switchgear and more than 20 digital electrical products during the week, which will also mark a milestone as the company celebrates the 10th anniversary of ABB Xiamen Smart Technology Co., Ltd.

A series of forums and seminars will be held during the week, focusing on topics of sustainable transport, smart building, smart electric power and smart energy, among others.

"The strategic partnership centered on innovation between Switzerland and China is increasingly enriching, and I hope companies could seize opportunities and continue cultivating the Chinese market," said Bernardino Regazzoni, Swiss Ambassador to China, when addressing the opening forum of the week.

"ABB is committed to using innovative technology to work together with our partners to provide Chinese users with smarter, one-stop, full-cycle digital services," said James Zhao with ABB China.

ABB, the Swiss power and automation group, has a full range of business activities in China, including research and development, manufacturing, sales, and services, with 15,000 employees in 28 companies based in more than 130 cities. Enditem
