Shanghai Disney Resort to hold design competition on imagination

SHANGHAI, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai Disney Resort Tuesday announced plans to hold a design competition that will give vent to the imagination.
The upcoming event, known as the Disney Imaginations Shanghai Design Competition, was initiated in 2018 and is inspired by the Walt Disney Imagineering's Imaginations Design Competition.
The third session of the design competition aims to provide college students with a platform to showcase their skills in design, creativity and imagination.
Students from 10 universities, including Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University, East China Normal University and China Academy of Art, will be invited to participate in the event.
The winning team will receive a cash award and internships at the Shanghai Disney Resort and the opportunity to learn from professionals working with Walt Disney Imagineering Shanghai.
From Thursday, teams can register on the competition's official website and submit their entries from Dec. 11 this year to Jan. 25, 2021. All entries will be evaluated and the finalists announced in March 2021.
Shanghai Disney Resort, which opened in 2016, is the first Disney resort destination on the Chinese mainland and the sixth in the world. Enditem
