CAIRO -- At least 12 people dead and five others wounded when a bus crashed with a lorry in Egypt's Minya Province, a security official source told Xinhua on Friday.

The accident took place in the early morning due to the high speed of the drivers, the source said. (Egypt-Car Accident)

BAGHDAD -- A commando force of the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) conducted an operation against militants of the extremist Islamic State (IS) group in Iraq's northern province of Kirkuk, leaving 16 IS militants killed, the Iraqi military said on Friday.

The CTS commandos, backed by international U.S.-led coalition aircraft, attacked IS hideouts in the rugged areas of Wadi-Zghaiton and Wadi al-Khanajir in the southwest of the namesake provincial capital Kirkuk, some 250 km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, Yahia Rasoul spokesman of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi forces said in a statement. TEHRAN -- Iran's Foreign Ministry on Friday urged France, Germany and Britain, the three European signatories to the Iranian 2015 nuclear deal, to implement their commitments to protecting Iran's nuclear rights enshrined under the pact.

France, Germany and Britain, also known as E3 with reference to the nuclear deal, are expected to stop their political "blame game" against Iran and fulfil their commitments pertaining to the multilateral accord, the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said. (Iran-E3-Nuke)

BEIRUT -- Lebanese President Michel Aoun denied on Friday an Israeli official's allegation of Lebanon changing position seven times during the talks to demarcate maritime borders between the two countries, a statement by Lebanon's presidency said.
