Southwest China province appoints acting governor

KUNMING, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Wang Yubo was appointed deputy governor and acting governor of southwest China's Yunnan Province on Wednesday, according to a decision of the standing committee of the provincial legislature.

Wang, born in January 1963, is a native of Zhenping, central China's Henan Province. He now also serves as deputy secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.

The 21st session of the Standing Committee of the 13th Yunnan Provincial People's Congress on Wednesday also accepted the resignation of Chen Hao from the post of the chairman of the standing committee of the provincial legislature and the resignation of Ruan Chengfa from the post of the provincial governor.
