BEIJING, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- China's coast guard forces have solved a major case involving illegal salvaging and reselling underwater cultural relics, the China Coast Guard (CCG) said on Thursday.
Ten suspects were captured, and nearly 700 pieces of cultural relics were seized, said a CCG statement, adding that a ship and several diving suits were also confiscated during the operation on Nov. 22.
The CCG also worked with local police departments in the provinces of Fujian and Jiangxi to recover the cultural relics.
