Action crime film continues to lead China's daily box office

BEIJING, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Action crime film "Caught in Time" continued to lead China's daily box office chart on Friday, raking in about 21.98 million yuan (3.34 million U.S. dollars).

The movie's total box office revenue reached 324 million yuan within eight days after its release, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed Saturday.

Domestic feature film "One Second" ranked second, grossing over 21 million yuan on the first day of its screening. Set in the 1970s, the film, directed by renowned Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou, revolves around a deep bond formed by a father who has lost his daughter and a wandering girl because of a movie.

Coming in third was the American animated comedy film "The Croods: A New Age," earning about 19.5 million yuan on its opening day on the mainland. Enditem
