ZHUJI, China, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Yang Linyi's eighth three-pointer with only 2.5 seconds left helped the Shenzhen Aviators defeat the Shandong Heroes 110-107 in the 2020-21 Chinese Basketball Association league (CBA) regular season here on Saturday.

Shenzhen, who came into the game with a three-game winning streak, trailed 88-77 into the last quarter, but went on a 13-3 scoring spree to cut the gap to one point. However, Lester Hurdson helped Shandong rebuild a five-point advantage midway through the last period.

Before the final whistle, Shen Zijie and Yang helped Shenzhen raise its game and turn the game around after Yang hit a buzzer-beater.

Yang scored a career-high 33 points, plus four rebounds and one steal. Shen finished with a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds.

For Shandong, former NBA player Hurdson pocketed 32 points, six rebounds, and five assists, Tao Hanlin scored 15 points and grabbed four rebounds.

"I'd like to praise all my players, they showed good teamwork in the tough game. We turned the game around in the last quarter by our solid defense and Yang's three-pointers," said Shenzhen head coach Qiu Biao at the post-match conference.

"He Xining defended Hurdson well in the fourth period, I hope our players keep it up and grow up step by step in the future," Qiu added.

Shenzhen will face the Jiangsu Dragons on December 29. Enditem
