Oman reports 190 new COVID-19 cases, 129,774 in total

MUSCAT, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Omani health ministry on Tuesday announced 190 new COVID-19 infections, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the sultanate to 129,774, the official Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

Meanwhile, 34 people recovered during the past 24 hours, taking the overall recoveries to 122,406, while no new deaths were reported, keeping the death toll at 1,502, according to a ministry statement quoted by ONA.

The ministry urged everyone to adhere to social distancing instructions issued by the Supreme Committee and the Ministry of Health.
