ZHUJI, China, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Forward Ren Junfei got a game-high 25 points and helped the Guangdong Southern Tigers smash the Sichuan Blue Whales 114-88 in the 29th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Wednesday.

Falling behind with seven points in the first quarter, Sichuan turned over the table 49-46 after Marcus Hunt buried a 3-pointer.

Led by Ren, the defending champions regained the lead in the third quarter and expanded it to 16 points.

After launching a 7-1 run, Guangdong enlarged the difference to as many as 27 points to nail its second straight victory.

Besides Ren's contribution, Marshon Brooks had 22 points, Zhao Rui collected 18 points, Hu Mingxuan added 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Although Guangdong won the game, Ren wasn't satisfied with their performances. "There were too many mistakes today, as we didn't concentrate well on the game," he said.

For the Sichuan side, Li Yuanyu took a team-high 14 points, Hunt finished with 12 points and seven rebounds, and Su Ruoyu pocketed 12 points.

With center Miroslav Radulica contributing 30 points and 13 rebounds, the Zhejiang Lions eased past the Fujian Sturgeons 139-101.

"We controlled the game pretty well throughout 40 minutes. I just want to emphasize all the players, also for the young guys and for me, which is the most important to this team, start sharing the ball as we should be, because this is the way to get this kind of wins," Radulica said.

In the other two games played on Wednesday, the Shanghai Sharks defeated the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 110-97 with 35 points from Jimmer Fredette, and the Tianjin Pioneers beat the Nanjing Monkey Kings 106-94 to end their four-game losing streak. Enditem
