Landesberg scores 55 points as Zhejiang edge Shandong

Sylven Landesberg had 55 points and six rebounds, leading the Zhejiang Golden Bulls to a 120-119 victory over the Shandong Heroes in the 2020-21 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) season on Tuesday.

Troy Gillenwater joined Shandong before the game and started in the first period. However, Landesberg helped Zhejiang lead by 11 points, ending 56-50 by the interval.

Tao Hanlin of Shandong was sent off for six fouls as the third quarter kicked off. Trailing by two points, Shandong entered the last period. Gao Shiyan of Shandong missed his final shot. Landesberg added 18 points for Zhejiang's victory after a see-saw period.

Gillenwater had 29 points in his debut, and Lester Hudson added 16 points.

"We did well in defense. I am satisfied with Troy, but they did homework on Troy," said Shandong coach Gong Xiaobin.

Wu Qian posted 10 points and 13 assists. Zhejiang coach Liu Weiwei thanked the players for the win.

Shandong will face Shanxi, and Zhejiang will take on Qingdao in the next round.
