BEIJING, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Former Belgium international Marouane Fellaini has been put under quarantine after he arrived in China on Sunday.

The former Manchester United player posted on social media a picture taken from his hotel window where he is in quarantine in Xi'an, Shaanxi province.

"Back to business. First day quarantine," Fellaini wrote.

The 33-year-old midfielder has to complete a mandatory two-week quarantine and one-week home isolation before being able to join up with the Chinese Super League side Shandong Taishan, formerly known as Shandong Luneng.

The Shandong side is now training in Haikou, Hainan province, ahead of the new season. Enditem
