KUNMING, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Law-enforcement authorities from China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand joined forces Tuesday for the 102nd Mekong River joint patrol.

Three Chinese vessels departed from Jingha Port, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China's Yunnan Province for the patrol.

Before the patrol, the four countries' law-enforcement authorities held a video conference to discuss the river's security situation.
