BEIJING, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- The Shanxi Loongs have bought out Tian Guisen's contract and allowed the point guard to be a free agent to sign with another CBA club during the ongoing mid-season registration window.

"In consideration of the team's development at the next phase this season and Tian Guisen's personal development in the future, the club have reached a buyout agreement with Tian following smooth exchanges and friendly negotiations between the two sides," the Shanxi club said in a statement.

"After the buyout agreement is reached, Tian will part ways with the Shanxi team and become a free agent, which allows him to sign with another CBA side during the registration window of the 2020-21 season and continue his journey in the league," added the statement.

Tian joined Shanxi's youth team in 2010 and started his CBA campaign in the 2012-13 season.

The 26-year-old point guard made his debut in November 2012, finishing with four points, six assists and two steals in 32 minutes against Guangdong.

"Tian has spared no efforts at both ends during his seven seasons in Shanxi, which has earned him the team's trust and the fans' love. The team and fans jointly witnessed Tian's step-by-step progress during this spell," the club said, also expressing their gratitude for Tian's dedication and contribution.

"Shanxi is always your home. We wish you the best in the future," the statement concluded.

Averaging 1.9 points this season, Tian is reportedly set to return to the Fujian Sturgeons, where he played on loan between 2017 and 2019. Enditem
