JERUSALEM -- The number of people vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus in Israel has reached 4,649,709, the state's Ministry of Health said on Friday.

ISTANBUL -- Turkey introduced Friday a series of drastic measures in several provinces where the number of the COVID-19 daily cases are significantly on the rise.

TEHRAN -- The Iranian minister of health and medical education said on Friday that Iran will turn into a major COVID-19 vaccine producer in the next Iranian spring which begins on March 20, official IRNA news agency reported.

DAMASCUS -- The Syrian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the U.S. strikes that targeted positions in eastern Syria before Friday's daybreak, state news agency SANA reported.
