NINGBO, March 1 (Xinhua) -- The China Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI) reported a slight drop in freight indices in the U.S. routes.

The NCFI, reflecting freight rate changes of 21 routes departing from the Ningbo-Zhoushan port, stood at 2,326.3 points in February, down 5.5 percent month on month.

The sub-readings for the east and west coasts of the United States quoted 1,713.9 points and 2,306.4 points, down 1.9 percent and 2.3 percent month on month respectively, but up 79.4 percent and 170.1 percent compared with the same period of last year.
