BEIJING, April 4 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.

SCI-TECH INNOVATION IPOs

China's securities regulator has approved the initial public offerings (IPOs) of four companies on the science and technology innovation board.

Suzhou Mingzhi Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Xinyichang Technology Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Xunjiexing Technology Corp., Ltd. will be listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's sci-tech innovation board, commonly known as the STAR market, according to the China Securities Regulatory Commission.

ROCKET ENGINE

China has successfully tested a 10-tonne thrust liquid oxygen-methane engine, according to its developer.

The engine, named TQ, was independently developed by the private rocket company LandSpace.

TUNNEL-BORING MACHINE

A homegrown supersized tunnel-boring machine has rolled off the production line in east China's Jiangsu Province.

The machine, named Xingye, is 130 meters long and weighs about 4,500 tonnes. Equipped with a number of innovative technologies, it can assemble segments while tunneling, which significantly improves its working efficiency.

The machine will be commissioned in the construction of an expressway project in south China's Guangdong Province. Enditem
