SHANGHAI, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures opened lower Thursday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.

　　The most active gold contract for June 2021 delivery was down 0.52 yuan (about 8 U.S. cents) to open at 368.48 yuan a gram.
