Hong Kong reports 14 new COVID-19 cases

HONG KONG, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) reported on Friday 14 more confirmed cases of COVID-19, taking the total tally to 11,563.

Of the new infections, two were locally transmitted cases, including one untraceable, and 12 imported cases, the CHP said at a press briefing, adding that about 10 preliminary cases were also reported.

Some 529,400 people have been given the first vaccine shot under a government inoculation program starting Feb. 26 and about 170,700 people have been fully vaccinated in Hong Kong. Enditem
