XI'AN, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic said on Sunday that Du Changjiie had joined the China League One side from the Chinese Super League (CSL) side Henan Songshan Longmen.

The 23-year-old rising star, who can play as a striker, winger or side back on the court, joined the Henan U15 team in 2010 and helped his team grab the trophy of the Chinese Football Association (CFA) U19 Championship in 2013.

Du began to play the CSL when he was 17. In Henan Songshan Longmen, he had 73 appearances in the CSL games and the CFA Cup in the latest six seasons.

Nicknamed as "simple version Drogba," Du is a quick player and has a strong body. In a preseason warmup on March 20, 2021, Du helped Shaanxi earn a penalty chance when facing Henan.

"Besides Du, we will announce some new players within the last few days," said Ke Wang, Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic's assistant manager.

Chang'an Athletic started to prepare for the upcoming new season on January 21, 2021, in Dongguan, south China's Guangdong Province. The club finished 10th in the second-tier China League One in the 2020 season.
