ZHUJI, China, April 12 (Xinhua) -- The Beijing Ducks smashed the Fujian Sturgeons 125-92 with five players scoring double-digits, while the Shanxi Loongs edged the Zhejiang Lions 102-100 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Monday.

From the beginning of the first half, the game between Beijing and Fujian was a one-sided affair. Beijing set up a 16-point lead in the first quarter and extended it to more than 20 points in the second quarter with a 13-4 run. The second half saw Fujian fight back hard, yet still failed to turn the table.

Jordan McRae came off the bench and led Beijing with 25 points, while Justin Hamilton added 21 points. With 12 points and 10 rebounds from Wang Zhelin and 33 points from his teammate Robert Golden, Fujian still lost the game by 33 points at the final whistle.

However, the game between Shanxi and Zhejiang was a tight one. Shanxi and Zhejiang were tied heading into the final minutes. Hu Jinqiu and Sun Minghui scored near the basket for Zhejiang to take a short lead, but Shanxi shot from the three-point line to narrow the gap. Zhang Ning made the perimeter shot with 27 seconds to go, but Zhejiang's Kay Felder missed a three-pointer in the final seconds.

Zhang scored 17 points for Shanxi, with Eric Moreland notching a near triple-double of 10 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists. With 24 points from Sun Minghui and a big double-double of 29 points and 18 rebounds from Hu, Zhejiang fell just short.

In other games, the Shenzhen Aviators beat the Sichuan Blue Whales 115-108, and the Jilin Northeast Tigers pushed aside the Jiangsu Dragons 111-94. Enditem
