BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Transport (MOT) and other regulatory authorities directed 10 online transportation platforms to rectify their operational problems with immediate effect in a regulatory talk on Friday.

The companies summoned include ride-hailing giant Didi and on-demand delivery service provider Huolala, according to the MOT.

Based on reports collected by the regulators, the problems of online ride-hailing platforms mainly range from taking a high proportional cut of the transaction, lacking transparency in distribution mechanisms and arbitrarily adjusting pricing policies.

According to the reports, online freight platforms have allegedly monopolized freight transport information, maliciously lowered freight rates and arbitrarily raised membership fees.

These companies are also suspected of infringing on the lawful rights and interests of the workers in the sector, the regulators noted. Enditem
