Chinese footballer implicated in dispute over private lending

BEIJING, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Shandong Luneng FC has been demanded by a court to withhold a pay of over 10 million yuan to its player Dai Lin who was implicated in a disputed over private lending.

According to a legal document, the Shenyang Intermediate People's Court has asked the Shandong club to withhold an amount of 11,268,075 yuan in any form of pay to Dai Lin. The 33-year-old midfielder's bank account has been frozen.

Dai pleaded with the public not to read much into the dispute.

"The reports about the dispute are overwhelming, and I want to make clear that I did lend ten million yuan," he wrote on social media on Friday night.

"The truth will come out one day when it comes to the amount of money in dispute. This is my private business and please give me some time to sort it out," he added. Enditem
