BEIJING, June 16 (Xinhua) -- China's box office is welcoming "1921," a production intended to provide a panoramic view of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) 100 years ago.

The film, according to its director Huang Jianxin, aims to depict the spiritual world of Chinese Communists in the CPC's early period, including their aspiration and passion.

Apart from the 13 delegates to the CPC's first national congress, "1921" also spotlights key CPC figures like Chen Duxiu and Li Dazhao.

The film is set for theatrical release on July 1, 2021, according to the film's official Weibo account and the release calendar unveiled by film data platforms.

"Ge Ming Zhe," or "The Pioneer" in English, a film revolving around the revolutionary deeds of Li Dazhao, is also scheduled for release on the same day, said an announcement via the film's official Weibo account. Enditem
