China's stock market ends mixed in June

BEIJING, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks ended mixed last month, according to data from the People's Bank of China (PBOC).

At the end of June, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,591.2 points, dropping by 24.3 points, or 0.7 percent, compared with the figure logged at the end of the previous month, the PBOC data showed.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 15,161.7 points on the last trading day of June, up by 165.3 points, or 1.1 percent, from the end of May.

Last month, the average daily trading volume on the Shanghai Stock Exchange was 444.21 billion yuan (about 68.71 billion U.S. dollars), 10.8 percent higher month on month.

The Shenzhen Stock Exchange saw its average daily trading volume reach 551.55 billion yuan, up 14.3 percent month on month, the data showed. Enditem
