China's leading liquor producer reports rising H1 profit

GUIYANG, July 30 (Xinhua) -- China's leading liquor producer Kweichow Moutai said its net profit rose by 9.08 percent year on year to 24.65 billion yuan (about 3.8 billion U.S. dollars) in the first half of 2021.

The company also said in its half-year financial report that it generated operating revenue of 50.72 billion yuan, an increase of 11.68 percent from the same period last year.

In 2020, the company's revenue rose 10.29 percent to nearly 98 billion yuan.

Distilled in the town of Maotai in southwest China's Guizhou Province, Moutai is one of the country's leading liquor brands. Enditem
