KUNMING, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Yunnan Province reported one locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 case and 16 imported ones on Sunday, the provincial health commission said on Monday.

The locally transmitted case was discovered during a nucleic acid testing of people under quarantine in Longchuan County.

All of the imported cases arrived in Yunnan from Myanmar through land checkpoints from July 24 to July 31. They tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday while under quarantine.

All the cases have been sent to designated hospitals for treatment.

By the end of Sunday, there were 381 confirmed COVID-19 cases still hospitalized in Yunnan, including 62 locally transmitted cases and 319 imported ones. There were also 26 asymptomatic cases, among whom 25 were imported. Enditem
