BEIJING, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Deng Zongliang was unanimously elected as executive vice president of the Asian Conference of Religions for Peace (ACRP) at its 9th general assembly held online from Tuesday to Friday.

Deng Zongliang is a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and the Executive Vice President of the China Committee on Religion and Peace (CCRP).

Addressing the closing ceremony of the assembly, Deng called for the Asian religious communities to make new contributions to lasting peace and common development in the continent.

Deng said inter-cultural and inter-religious exchanges should follow the principles of equality, mutual respect, inclusiveness and mutual learning and help improve friendship and consensus among people of different countries. Enditem
