CHONGLI, Zhangjiakou, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Australian cross-country skier Phil Bellingham told a press conference on Wednesday that the consistent and firm artificial snow at Beijing 2022 works for athletes like him.

"The artificial snow doesn't really change a whole lot. It's mainly the cold, I guess, which makes it more difficult. Because it's cold, the snow becomes more abrasive and slow," said the three-time Olympian.

"The other thing with man-made snow, it's super consistent and firm snow, which works for me as I'm more of a big-bodied skier."

"The course is really good, the snow is really good and it's beautifully sunny every day, so I'm really excited," said the 23-year-old skier Seve de Campo. Enditem
