BEIJING, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese striker Guo Tianyu said he is unsure if he will stay on at Portuguese club Vizela after his contract expires next month.
The 23-year-old, who signed a six-month contract with Vizela after joining the club on loan from Chinese side Shandong Taishan in January, said his future depends on the two clubs.
"I cannot decide it on my own," Guo said.
"To my delight, Vizela want me to stay on. But I have to consider Shandong Taishan's wishes as well," he said.
"It's out of my control," he added.
Guo told Chinese media in April that he looked forward to a memorable stay at the Portuguese club.
"I hope I will have good performances here and not let the Chinese fans down," he then said.
Hao Wei, head coach of Shandong Taishan, said Guo's joining Vizela would be conducive to the player's development, but at the expense of Shandong's progress.
"His move to Portugal is a loss to my team. We need to do something to cope with it," Hao added.
Guo scored 10 goals last season to help Shandong to win the Chinese Super League title. Enditem
