BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese forward Guo Tianyu says he will return to Shandong Taishan after his loan to Portuguese top-flight club Vizela ended.

The 23-year-old said on Sunday that he has returned to China and is under quarantine before joining up with Shandong.

"I am quarantined after coming back to China. I am very grateful that I learned a lot during those two months spent in Portugal," he wrote on social media.

"I will choose to play overseas again if good chances come in the future. Right now, I am preparing to return to Shandong," he added.

Guo said in early May that Vizela were impressed by his performances and hoped he could stay on, though he only made three substitute appearances for the Portuguese outfit.

But Shandong Taishan have the final say in whether he could remain with Vizela, Guo added.

Hao Wei, head coach of Shandong Taishan, once said Guo's joining Vizela would be conducive to the player's growth, but at the expense of Shandong's progress.

"His move to Portugal is a loss to my team. We need to do something to cope with it," Hao added.

Guo scored 10 goals last season to help Shandong win the Chinese Super League title. Enditem
