BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Chinese artistic swimming team announced a 13-member roster for the FINA World Swimming Championships to be held in Budapest, Hungary during June 18-July. 3, among which only three Olympians were called up.
Zhang Xiaohuan, coach of the team, said: "It is a new team while most of the members are rookies to the worlds. Our goal is to experience the world-class competition and try our best in Budapest."
China have claimed a gold medal in the free routine and set the best ever result in the 2017 Budapest worlds. They finished with 5 silver medals in Gwangju, South Korea in 2019's edition.
The artistic swimming competition will start one day earlier on June 17 before the official opening ceremony of worlds with a total of nine events at stake, including technical and free competitions in solo, duet, mixed duet, team and free combination.

Women: Feng Yu, Chang Hao, Cheng Wentao, Li Xiuchen, Zhang Yiyao, Zhang Yayi, Fan Jiayi, Wang Liuyi, Wang Qianyi, Xiao Yanning, Xiang Fenxuan
