BEIJING, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Super League (CSL) side Beijing Guoan will decide whether or not they will play their remaining home games this season in Beijing before Tuesday, head coach Xie Feng said on Sunday.
The second phase of the CSL 2022 campaign, which is to start on August 5, will be on a home-and-away basis once again after the first phase was played on a centralized basis across three cities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For teams who are unable or unwilling to play their home games at home, the league will assign them to neutral venues.
"My players are looking forward to playing at home. This issue will be decided in one or two days," Xie said.
He said he had asked his players to be prepared to play their home games at neutral venues.
"If we have to play home games at the neutral venues, I hope the players will not feel aggrieved and try their best as usual," Xie added.
Beijing Guoan currently sits fifth in the CSL table, 12 points behind pacesetter Wuhan Three Towns. Enditem
