BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai Shenhua drew with Changchun Yatai 0-0, while Chengdu beat Hebei 1-0 in the 11th round (second phase) of the 2022 Chinese Super League (CSL) on Friday.

The second phase of the CSL 2022 campaign returned to a home-and-away format after the first phase was played on a centralized basis across three cities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shenhua, one of the seven teams that are unable or unwilling to play their home games in their home stadium, chose Dalian, Liaoning province as their home venue.

In the 13th minute, Cao Yunding had the ball in the net for Shenhua, but the Shenhua captain's effort was ruled offside. Six minutes later, Cao fell in the box following contact with defender Mao Kaiyu and was given a penalty by the referee. However, the chance of breaking the deadlock was cancelled by VAR.

After that, the game turned dramatic. Shenhua's Aidi Fulangxisi was sent out for two yellow cards in the 26th minute and his teammate Yang Zexiang was shown a direct red card in 70th minute for a dangerous kick. But the advantage in numbers did not help Yatai get a win.

Elsewhere on Friday, Brazil's Felipe scored the sole goal in the 76th minute in Chengdu's 1-0 win over Hebei. Meanwhile, Zhejiang cruised past Shenzhen 2-0. Enditem
