WUHAN, China, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Beijing Guoan eased past Wuhan Yangtze River to claim a straightforward 4-1 victory in the 13th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) here on Wednesday.

Against a Wuhan side that struggled to create chances, Beijing Guoan did not wait much longer to break the deadlock, as Zhang Xizhe rifled an unstoppable shot from Marko Dabro's cross in the 21st minute.

There was no let-up for Beijing Guoan in the second half as they doubled the advantage in the 61st minute with a rocket of a volley from Jiang Xiangyou. Five minutes later, Jiang's pinpoint cross picked out Zhang Yuning in the penalty area, who finished a powerful header. Zhang added an assist in the 83rd minute when his cross eventually found its way to substitute Cao Yongjing, who scored a fourth to secure a memorable victory.

Wuhan Yangtze River struck their only goal in the 86th minute, as Asmir Kajevic skipped past the goalkeeper and calmly fired over from close range.

"All the opportunities created have been grasped, and the most important thing is that we are united and not affected by the previous games. I hope we can continue to cheer and improve the league ranking," said Beijing Guoan star Zhang Xizhe after the game.

Elsewhere, an impressive Wu Guichao scored his first league goal for Chengdu Rongcheng as Seo Jungwon's side beat Shanghai Shenhua 2-0. In the 86th minute, Felipe Silva helped Chengdu seal a fifth straight win when his strike from distance eluded Shenhua's goalkeeper Ma Zhen.

In the other two games on Wednesday evening, league leaders Wuhan Three Towns routed Henan Songshan Longmen 3-0, and Meizhou Hakka defeated Guangzhou City 2-1. Enditem
