BEIJING, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.

5G BASE STATION

China's financial hub Shanghai is expected to have over 77,000 5G base stations by the end of 2023 as part of the city's efforts to boost 5G coverage.

More than 4,000 commercial buildings and major public buildings will achieve indoor 5G coverage, and 90 percent of the city will have access to 5G services by the end of next year.

DINOSAUR FOSSIL DISCOVERY

About 15 square meters of well-preserved dinosaur footprints with both positive and negative fossil slabs have been unearthed in Shanghang County, Longyan City of east China's Fujian Province.

The fossils contain sauropod and theropod dinosaur footprints and a clear symmetrical ripple structure which clearly represents the sedimentary environment of lacustrine facies back then. More than 30 footprints of six dinosaur species were recorded by the imprints.

SHIPWRECK

An ancient shipwreck, one of the largest and best-preserved wooden shipwrecks discovered underwater in China to date, was lifted out of waters in Shanghai early Monday.

The Yangtze No. 2 Ancient Shipwreck dates back to the reign of Emperor Tongzhi (1862-1875) of the Qing Dynasty. The salvage operation saw the use of advanced equipment and technology such as an underwater imaging device -- for muddy water -- and shield tunneling technology. Enditem
