BEIJING, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.

AGRICULTURAL DROUGHT STUDY

Chinese researchers have found that anthropogenic external forcing and the natural internal variability of the climate system together have led to aggravated droughts across southern Central Asia in its early growing season over the past three decades.

The study was published recently in the journal Nature Geoscience.

WILDFIRE FINDINGS

A new study has revealed that wildfire creates weather conditions that accelerate its expansion and air pollution exposure at a regional scale.

The findings published in the journal Science on Friday showed that an "unexpectedly strong" fire-weather feedback shared across diverse fire-prone regions, including the West Coast of the United States and Southeastern Asia, could be used to help inform wildfire mitigation strategies.

STRETCHABLE SEAL

An international group led by Chinese scientists has developed a kind of stretchable seal to better protect next-generation flexible electronic devices.
