BEIJING, April 26 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.

INT'L LUNAR RESEARCH STATION

A senior Chinese space expert on Tuesday unveiled a plan for the construction of the International Lunar Research Station initiated by China and extended an invitation to organizations and scientists around the world to participate in the program.

The building of the International Lunar Research Station will be carried out in three phases, with a basic model of the station expected to be completed by around 2030, said Wu Weiren, chief designer of China's lunar exploration program.

DEEP SPACE EXPLORATION CONFERENCE

The first International Deep Space Exploration Conference opened Tuesday in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province.

As one of the major activities held to celebrate the Space Day of China that falls on April 24, the conference aims to introduce China's plan for deep space exploration projects and promote in-depth cooperation with the International Lunar Research Station.

MOU ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on Tuesday signed an updated memorandum of understanding (MoU) on bilateral cooperation.

The updated MoU aims to consolidate the existing exchanges and cooperation in the field of copyright and expand the bilateral cooperation in formulating and implementing international copyright treaties, discussing digital copyright protection issues, improving the risk prevention and control capacity of the copyright industry, sharing copyright to encourage creation and innovation among the small and medium-sized enterprises, and promoting the inheritance and development of folk literature and art.
