BEIJING, May 20 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.

CLAWED MICROROBOT

Chinese scientists have developed a swimming microrobot complete with claws and a coat that mimics the red blood cell membrane, significantly improving the efficiency of targeted drug delivery in blood vessels.

The magnetic robot is 20 microns in diameter and has claws inspired by tardigrades, a kind of tiny invertebrate. This allows for better navigation through the veins and shows promise for precision medicine, according to the paper published in the journal Science Advances.

ANCIENT OCEAN ON MARS

Chinese researchers have discovered direct evidence that proves the existence of an ancient ocean on the northern plain of Mars, according to the China University of Geosciences, Wuhan.

A research team led by Xiao Long, professor from the university, analyzed the scientific data from the multispectral camera of Mars rover Zhurong, and has for the first time found petrological evidence of marine sedimentary rocks on the surface of Mars, according to a research article published in the journal National Science Review.

FOSSILIZED DINOSAUR EGG

East China's Fujian Province has unearthed a nest of fossilized eggs and some eggshell fragments. The eggs belonged to the notorious egg thief dinosaur species, Oviraptorosaur, in the Late Cretaceous.

Discovered in Huangzhu Village, Shanghang County, Longyan City, the dinosaur eggs are thought to either be in the incubation stage or have already hatched. Some eggshells cracked from hatching, leaving fragments, according to Wang Qiang, associate researcher from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
