TEHRAN, July 24 (Xinhua) -- The Iranian Intelligence Ministry said on Monday that it has arrested members of an extensive Israeli-linked "terrorist" network planning "large-scale acts of sabotage and terror" in Iranian provinces.

The network's members, who were connected to and sponsored by the Israeli intelligence service Mossad through "terrorist centers" in Denmark and the Netherlands, planned to carry out "terror operations" in the provinces of Tehran, Kerman, Isfahan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Kurdestan, and Mazandaran, the ministry said in a statement published on its website.

The planned "terrorist" operations include launching bomb attacks on the grave of Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani and exploding electricity posts and gas compressor stations to disrupt domestic supply and exports, according to the statement.

The ministry said it also seized 43 highly destructive bombs, large amounts of ammunition, chemical and industrial materials used to make explosives, electronic kits, several M1911 pistols, hunting shotguns and numerous cold weapons.

The network's crime records show a series of "terrorist" operations such as throwing Molotov cocktails at state buildings, attacking bases belonging to Iran's Basij voluntary force and arson, it added. Enditem
